TGIF

After a stressful week, I am very happy that is is Friday! Yay for the weekends. I love knowing that Trevor will be with Willow and I for the next 2 days and that I will have an extra set of hands available :) I am hoping that this weekend will be fun. We really aren't doing anything tonight. Willow is in bed for the time being and Trevor is playing some crazy game on the Wii. Tommorrow we are going to go out to my parents house to swim and probably cook on the grill. Sunday my family and I are meeting some of my high school friends at the lake for a picnic and of course to swim. It will be nice to talk with other mothers and just relax on the beach.
I have all of my school work accomplished for the week. I always try and get everything done by the weekend so that I can focus on family time. It seems to be working so far. I am really pleased with my decision to go back to school. I think that it will do my family a world of good in the long run.
Since this is supposed to be sort of a baby blog, I guess I should update about how the baby is doing. Willow is a little over 8 months old and she is absolutely thriving! She is 21lbs and 28 inches long and she is the most beautiful little girl that I ever did see! I fall in love with her more and more every day. She truly is a blessing. Today during her afternoon nap, I went in to check on her and low and behold she was standing in her crib! I squealed and she just smiled at me. Time to lower the crib!! She has not quite yet mastered crawling, but she is getting there. She will get up on all fours and rock back and forth and go a few inches but then she just flops down on her belly. I think she will be crawling by the end of the month. She officially has 1 tooth now. It's the bottom front one and it is soo cute to see when she smiles! Her other one is going to break through any day now. That could be way she has been super fussy the past few days.
Well, it is time for me to end this post and go get some housework done. I hope your weekend is peaceful and gentle. :)

A quick little hello

Hello to everyone out there in blog land. This is my first ever official blog entry and I am excited to say the least. I mostly started this blog so that when my daughter is older, she can look back on everything that I have written about her. Kind of like an online baby book. I just think it will be neat to share my experiences as a stay at home mom with other mothers out there who may be having a hard time. I am by no means an expert, but after 8 months, I think that I know what I am doing most of the time :) I am going to try to post a few times a week but that may be a little be unrealistic right now. I am a full time college student and that takes up a good bit of my time. I do want to keep this going so I will try my best to keep up with things, not that anyone is reading anyhow. :) Well, it's that time of the day where my sweet little bambino is waking up from a nap and wants her lunch.
